Gabb Life Presents the Gabb Life Street Skate Contest Winners

Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest, from the 66 skateboarders who submitted amazing street skate edits to our Gabb Ambassadors who were tasked with the difficult challenge of selecting 4 winners (2 boys and 2 girls).
The caliber of talent in this year’s contest was phenomenal and if we could award you all, we would!
And so without further ado, we present the winners of the Gabb Life Street Skate Contest who each received a $500 check and a new Santa Cruz Skateboard setup from Gabb Ambassadors Zion Effs and Sierra Kerr!

  • More about Julian

I am a 10-year-old skateboarder from Long Beach, CA. I got my first skateboard from a homeless person and it’s been uphill, downhill, sweat, and bruises ever since. I’ve been skating for 3 ½ years and am sponsored by Powell Peralta, S1Helmets, Grindking Trucks, and Grizzly Griptape. Some accolades I’ve won include: 1st in street and park, 2nd in bowl, and 2019 Skateboarder of the Year at CASL 2019; 2nd at Hot Wheels Superchargers in the 16 and under division; 1st at Grind For Life /Boardr 2019 Finals; 2nd in street and 4th in park at the FISE 2020 Montpellier; and represented Team USA Skateboarding (with pro skater Zander Gabriel) at FISE Battle of the Nations 2020.

  • More about Jamie

I am 15 years old from North Miami Beach, FL. I’m extremely adventurous and like to try new things. I’m driven to do things I can’t even believe. My passion for skating started in 2017 when my dad took me to my first skatepark. That day changed me. I was into playing other sports like soccer and basketball but they didn’t compare to the thrill I felt when I skated. I practiced as much as I could and eventually I started experimenting with tricks. My favorite thing to do is skate street. My dad and grandpa built me a halfpipe in my backyard where I spend endless hours practicing and having fun. A few months after they built my halfpipe, I started competing which was very exciting and thrilling and only made me want to get to the next level. I am now sponsored by Monster Army, Island Water Sports, and Merge4. I can’t wait to see what else the future will bring.

I am a 9-year-old from St. Petersburg, FL. I have been skating for over 2 years now. I got into skateboarding after trying out my cousin’s Target board and have been skating ever since. Skateboarding is great because you can make it your own and do whatever you want to do. The best part of skating has been making new friends and just having fun. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my skate journey.

I’m 15 years old and I’m from Roanoke, TX. I got into skating a couple years ago when my dad bought me a skateboard for my birthday. Skateboarding is an outlet for me and I’m so glad I got into it. It has taught me persistence, helped me overcome challenges, and has opened doors for so many opportunities. I’ve also met so many amazing people who have the same drive and passion. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
